In a unexpected collaboration that breaks usual forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Uncovered
According to the formal announcement, "A strange meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of forbidden rituals and fearsome changes echo through the shadows." The narrative features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a secret sect.
The adventure centers on "strange tests and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Metamorphoses
The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Additional Features
Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an unique katana together with multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Latest Free Story Addition
This patch also adds the game's latest free story episode, titled "A Puzzlement."
