Iran is willing to reinitiate atomic discussions with Washington provided that it is approached with "dignity" and "respect", Tehran's foreign minister has declared.

The Iranian diplomat declared solely negotiations was effective, and shared fresh requests had come from mediators to restart negotiations with the Trump administration. He claimed Iran had zero unreported enrichment locations, and Iran had not yet reached a point to permit the UN nuclear inspectorate to access struck enrichment centers for security reasons.

Navigating a Challenging Path

The foreign minister is treading a complex route since Iran wishes not to be perceived to be proceeding from a situation of weakness, and he emphatically stated that Iran had arisen stronger militarily and emotionally from the coordinated strike on its enrichment centers in June.

He was talking at a defense forum in Tehran where he reiterated that Iran had "an absolute privilege to enrich uranium on home soil that it will perpetually retain" – the primary cause of the deadlock in the prior discussions.

Earlier Discussions Unexpectedly Concluded

The previous five rounds of talks between the United States and Iran were concluded unexpectedly and bitter conclusion on 12 June when the Israeli government, with Washington's assistance, targeted Iranian nuclear sites in a fortnight-long engagement that culminated with the American leader declaring the locations had been destroyed. Subsequently, EU nations employed their authority to restore international penalties, but Iran maintains they have not had a substantial consequence.

Ideal Resolution Proposed

Iran's diplomats stated they felt they had attained a "magic solution" to the uranium processing matter in earlier negotiations, when it was decided an domestic cooperative with Washington's engagement could enrich uranium. The two nations would have been able to claim victory since local refinement would have persisted and the US could be assured that Iran's enrichment initiative was exclusively peaceful.

It had not been settled in the discussions that American atomic experts could operate within Iranian territory, but that was a logical implication of the partnership suggestion. Officials asserted on multiple occasions they had reached agreement with Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff only for the arrangement to disintegrate due to "spoilers in Washington".

Current Status

Iran's diplomats declared the consortium offer was now withdrawn, but it seems highly likely the suggestion could be revived in some form if discussions resume.

Trump in recent days claimed he had been getting signals that Iran wanted to resume discussions, but confidentially Iranian officials say they are not yet obtaining consistent overtures from America either directly or from significant local go-betweens, such as the Qatari government, Egypt, Oman and the Saudi kingdom. The Iranian foreign ministry has been accused of passivity in the wake of Washington's unmediated tactics, but Iran states negotiations is not part of a show.

Negotiating Position

In his address to the conference, aimed to paint the US as a dominant force that abuses the concept of international law, Araghchi said the 12-day war showed the conflict could not be ended by armed force. He stated the assaults commenced with a US demand for an total Iran submission and culminated with an absolute demand for a halt to hostilities.

Iran is assured the initial Israeli attacks were executed with complete American awareness and collaboration, making confidence hard to reestablish.

Negotiations Remains the Primary Resolution

The foreign minister declared: "It was not Iran that had deserted dialogue; it was America and the western countries that had always attempted to enforce their demands during the talks. Diplomacy can still be viable and remains the final solution to resolve conflicts, but its standards, regulations and tenets must be respected."

"In case they talk to the Iranian people with the language of respect and honor, they will obtain a response in the equivalent tone."

Restoration and Recovery

In what is described by Iranian officials as the battle of recovery and rebuilding, Araghchi stated he was certain Iran's defence capabilities "are much stronger than preceding 13 or 14 June of this year. Every aspect of our defense have been restored. We gained multiple understandings from this conflict; we have discovered our personal limitations and the shortcomings of the adversary."

He stated: "We effectively endured this engagement. Our nuclear technology, which they aimed to eliminate, remains in place. The installations and gear, if damaged, will be reconstructed; what is crucial is the will of the nation of Iran and then the national cohesion that they targeted, but were unable to break. The Iranian people have developed more powerful, more cohesive, and more endorsing of the administration and the country in the aftermath of this attack."
